Popular Dora The Explorer Characters

Dora the Explorer is the symbol of the little smart, enthusiastic, active and kind girl who is willing to start an adventure for a good cause at any time. Due to her nice features and her positive attitude, Dora the Explorer is known to have many friends, both humans and animals. Dora the Explorer characters are divided into 2 main categories: there are some that constantly appear on the show, like Boots, Diego, Swiper or the fiesta trio and there are some which appear only in one episode as they interact with Dora the Explorer while she is on one particular adventure.

Dora the Explorer characters all have distinctive personalities and fun appearances; at the same time, they all have specific roles, features and experiences that are helpful at certain times.

One of the most representative Dora the Explorer characters is her best friend, the monkey called Boots, which the watchers of the show love due to the fact that it is very friendly and funny. While helping Dora on her adventures and investigations, Boots wears its typical red boots that even represent its name.

Diego is Dora's cousin and he is a professional animal rescuer – this is why he becomes Dora's partner or helper in many of her adventures. Various animals can be seen in the cartoon series Dora the Explorer, such as snails, grasshoppers, squirrels, iguanas or frogs. At the end of each successful mission, the fiesta trio appears to congratulate Dora and her team for doing a great job - this trio is made by three small animals: a snail, a grasshopper and a frog.

Besides animal and human friends, Dora also has a talking schoolbag that follows the little girl on her adventures – the schoolbag functions as a magic satchel, providing various items that Dora need on her quests.

Just like any other cartoon series, there has to be a villain or a tricky character that puts the good characters in difficulty and tries to stop them from achieving their goals. Dora's main nemesis is a character called Swiper, who is a wily fox that, in most of the episodes, tries to steal valuable items that belong to Dora and help her in solving the problems. Still, Swiper can not be considered just a villainous fox, as in one particular episode, this Dora the Explorer character helped the little girl to find Baby Fox and carry it back to his mommy.
